Nestor Nabar hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Lautaro Puig blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tobias Mino having to make a save. 12 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tobias Mino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Albiceleste F.C.'s Timoteo Nofre got a free kick in the 13th minute. Jose Ramon Vivanco hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Albiceleste F.C.'s Tobias Mino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Albiceleste F.C. from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Virgilio Romildo in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgilio Romildo in the 35th minute of the match. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Romildo in the 38th minute of play. After 43 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Abel Carballo got a free kick in the 47th minute. In the 49th minute Virgilio Romildo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Aaron Alcocer succeeded in the game's 58th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Albiceleste F.C.'s Tobias Mino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Alcocer in the 64th minute of play. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Virgilio Romildo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgilio Romildo's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. After 82 played minutes Albiceleste F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Nabar. When Costa Rica's Axel Tasis in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Albiceleste F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Costa Rica's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
