The shot missed the goal on the right side and Ferdinand Weijnants ran dejectedly back to his position. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind KFC Vliegplein's goalkeeper Teo De Jonge, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Paul-Louis Jannes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 21 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luca Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teo De Jonge having to interfere. Teo De Jonge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Teo De Jonge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 32nd minute of play forced KFC Vliegplein's goalkeeper Teo De Jonge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Endel Darmer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the game, Leonardo Leoz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mexico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KFC Vliegplein the free kick. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Leonardo Leoz got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 48th minute, KFC Vliegplein's Paul-Louis Jannes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eddy Laporte to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute, Eddy Laporte made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The supporters of Mexico booed when KFC Vliegplein was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octaaf Bosmans didn't get a good kick on the ball. Endel Darmer kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. KFC Vliegplein's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo scored to the left of an out of position Teo De Jonge, making the score, 3-1. Teo De Jonge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 84th minute of play. In the 84th minute, Joel Gaona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. A collision led to KFC Vliegplein getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Eddy Laporte hit a great ball. Teo De Jonge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 88th minute of play. Eddy Laporte kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 91st minute of play forced KFC Vliegplein's goalkeeper Teo De Jonge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teo De Jonge came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Mexico were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
