Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Koby Wright in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bogdan Samokovliyski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bogdan Samokovliyski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Koby Wright in the 18th minute of the match. Jax Williamson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cheng Le Xing, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Pakorro AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Carter George came free, but Bogdan Samokovliyski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pakorro AFC's Bogdan Samokovliyski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Dixon in the 37th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Pakorro AFC's Cheng Le Xing sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jax Williamson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jan Dixon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bogdan Samokovliyski having to make a save. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

If Jan Dixon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Canada's Filip Edwards was substituted for Koby Wright. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Edwards in the 69th minute of play forced Pakorro AFC's goalkeeper Bogdan Samokovliyski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Canada manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Pakorro AFC to win.
