The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Moises Fernandino got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for El Salvador. Luis Rubio made in the 8th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Rua da Pinga's Yuri Vilaça. With a little luck, Rua da Pinga's Armindo Bettencourt got control of the ball when Moises Fernandino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Abram Luque blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Armindo Bettencourt having to make a save. A sloppy throw-in by Luis Rubio in the 15th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Rua da Pinga's Yuri Vilaça. A collision led to Rua da Pinga getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Albérico Gouveia hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Moises Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Salvador's supporters rose to their feet, but Moises Fernandino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armindo Bettencourt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valentino Ferrant kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, El Salvador's Moises Fernandino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Armindo Bettencourt. Armindo Bettencourt yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Yuri Vilaça hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Abram Luque could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Armindo Bettencourt made a huge save. After 38 minutes, Yuri Vilaça mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rua da Pinga and the El Salvador players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Rua da Pinga getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Yuri Vilaça hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elias Quadros to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Jesus Carvallo made a precise shot to the right of Armindo Bettencourt. Rua da Pinga's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. A sloppy throw-in by Marco Tamayo in the 66th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Rua da Pinga's Yuri Vilaça. Yuri Vilaça hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. If Joaquim Carvalhais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the game, Valentino Ferrant was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Salvador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rua da Pinga the free kick. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Valentino Ferrant got a free kick in the 76th minute. The supporters of Rua da Pinga booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Leguizamo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Mateo Leguizamo fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Salvador's protests and gave Mateo Leguizamo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Rua da Pinga booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Leguizamo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute, Moises Fernandino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armindo Bettencourt was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The supporters of Rua da Pinga booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute, João Balsemão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Moises Fernandino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rua da Pinga players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for El Salvador.
