Addi Kremer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, VfL Bad Nenndorf's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Addi Kremer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Nikolaus Worm left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VfL Bad Nenndorf fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After 45 played minutes VfL Bad Nenndorf got a freekick which was hit by Reto Haag. The VfL Bad Nenndorf players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 1-3.

The wind increased when Nikolaus Worm made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Addi Kremer. Addi Kremer yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 58th minute of play forced VfL Bad Nenndorf's goalkeeper Addi Kremer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th match minute, VfL Bad Nenndorf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Björn Eigler to maneuver through the defense. After 63 played minutes VfL Bad Nenndorf got a freekick which was hit by Matthias Schwendler. The supporters of VfL Bad Nenndorf booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. VfL Bad Nenndorf's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-7. The VfL Bad Nenndorf fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
