Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Damaso Lain's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 2nd minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Melkior Thorslev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of play forced Cityzens Mdz's goalkeeper Melkior Thorslev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Damaso Lain took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Julio Vera to make any attempt to save it. 24 minutes into the match, Cityzens Mdz's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Melkior Thorslev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Lain in the 31st minute of play. After 38 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Melkior Thorslev was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 43rd minute Cityzens Mdz were awarded a corner. Hillar Tuus went to the cornerflag to take it. Cityzens Mdz's Hillar Tuus was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Melkior Thorslev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Damaso Lain to strike the kick off in the second half. Melkior Thorslev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Melkior Thorslev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Damaso Lain ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damaso Lain in the 64th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Melkior Thorslev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damaso Lain in the 67th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Damaso Lain came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hillar Tuus kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Daniel Zorita missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 75 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Melkior Thorslev right hand side. Henning Sander hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Cityzens Mdz made a substitution. Bruno Kaiet replaced Alberto Argider. After a rather tough play, Cityzens Mdz's Henning Sander got a free kick in the 82nd minute. If Sixto Larra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melkior Thorslev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
