An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 8th minute of play forced Cityzens Mdz's goalkeeper Melkior Thorslev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cityzens Mdz's Melkior Thorslev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 10th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Joel Gaona made a precise shot to the right of Melkior Thorslev. Cityzens Mdz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Johan Carbonero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Cityzens Mdz's Melkior Thorslev got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Melkior Thorslev made a huge save. Cityzens Mdz's Melkior Thorslev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melkior Thorslev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sixto Larra in the 33rd minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Damaso Lain came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Damaso Lain sped through Mexico's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. With a little luck, Cityzens Mdz's Melkior Thorslev got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Mexico players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cityzens Mdz were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cityzens Mdz's Melkior Thorslev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Zorita in the 59th minute of play. Melkior Thorslev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Cityzens Mdz's Melkior Thorslev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Luca Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 73 minutes, Macos Graciani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mexico and the Cityzens Mdz players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cityzens Mdz made a substitution. Ignacio Pasqual replaced Johan Carbonero. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Macos Graciani hit a great ball. Felix Luque hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute, Hillar Tuus sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Mexico's Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move. Cityzens Mdz's Melkior Thorslev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 79th minute of play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. After 91 played minutes Cityzens Mdz got a freekick which was hit by Sixto Larra. After a rather tough play, Cityzens Mdz's Alberto Argider got a free kick in the 91st minute. Joel Gaona shot a long shot in the 92nd minute and a light blocked Melkior Thorslev hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 3-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cityzens Mdz players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mexico.
