Thiago Pliego was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Murilo Prestes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 47 minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Murilo Prestes made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Chile's zone, Cléber da Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal and Cléber da Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mariano Lacasa in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Caco Azevedo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, SORRISO E. C.'s Caco Azevedo got control of the ball when Orlando Casaus tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cléber da Costa in the 68th minute of play. SORRISO E. Amadeu de Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 96th play minute Mariano Lacasa came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Caco Azevedo. 1-3. The Chile players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
