The referee showed Felix Dorval the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Felix Dorval kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 13 minutes in the game Felix Dorval did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Philippe Ambroise. Haiti's Felix Dorval got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ernso Constant struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Armindo Bettencourt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Haiti. Albérico Gouveia kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Ernso Constant received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Armindo Bettencourt came out and tried to block the shot, but Ernso Constant slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 28th minute. Henrique Linhares kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonathan Alphonse got free with Armindo Bettencourt in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Haiti getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Philippe Ambroise hit a great ball. If Joaquim Carvalhais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Joaquim Carvalhais came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Rua da Pinga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquim Carvalhais couldn't finish the play. Alexandre Garcia got a throw-in 46 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Albérico Gouveia. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

In the 53rd minute Jonathan Alphonse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Bettencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Haiti booed when Rua da Pinga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albérico Gouveia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the game, Jonathan Alphonse cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Armindo Bettencourt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Armindo Bettencourt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Alphonse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 67 minutes of play, Haiti's Jonathan Alphonse made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Armindo Bettencourt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ernso Constant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Noel Seide made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Joaquim Carvalhais sent off a good shot on target. Jonathan Alphonse scored 7-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Armindo Bettencourt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 84th minute, Jonathan Alphonse made a precise shot to the right of Armindo Bettencourt. Rua da Pinga's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. 89 minutes into the game, Philippe Ambroise cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Armindo Bettencourt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Haiti's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
