When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abram Sarmiento made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Navarro Montoya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ilko Smoje, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Jastreb's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Navarro Montoya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Colombia's Pascual Carballar quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Imants Blasāns, made in the 87th minute of the game. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Forsberg in the 91st minute of play. Navarro Montoya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 94th minute of the match. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by Jastreb's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kevin Mastache was slow to take the kick. During this time Colombia's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Colombia's Kevin Mastache to fire away a dangerous shot which Navarro Montoya despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
