Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Djati Simamora kicked off to start the match. A collision led to Penang Island getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Budi Aswin hit a great ball. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bulek Idris in the 4th minute. In the 8th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Salk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 10 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonas Salk was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of play forced Penang Island's goalkeeper Jonas Salk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Bulek Idris kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 1-1 in the 18 minute of play. Jonas Salk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Penang Island's Jonas Salk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 38th minute of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Salk having to interfere.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Jonas Salk in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bulek Idris blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bulek Idris in the 56th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bulek Idris in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Penang Island's Jonas Salk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 61st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bulek Idris in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Penang Island was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joko Febrian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Primitivo Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Ade Prima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bulek Idris, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jonas Salk was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bulek Idris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 94th minute. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
