Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Djati Simamora started the match with the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bulek Idris in the 3rd minute of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Ade Prima notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Penang Island! In the 11th minute, Venezuela got a penalty, and Tomas Illescas placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. After 15 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. Jonas Salk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 20th minute. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Penang Island's Bulek Idris. But to his dismay, Bulek Idris quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bulek Idris's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Bulek Idris scored 1-3 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Guillermo Mariano fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Guillermo Mariano a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of Venezuela:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Penang Island:s goal. After a rather tough play, Penang Island's Sipiongot Budikusuma got a free kick in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bulek Idris in the 40th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Djati Simamora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bulek Idris showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 55 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Penang Island's Sipiongot Budikusuma got a free kick in the 62nd minute. The Penang Island fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Penang Island's Djati Simamora looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bulek Idris in the 69th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Penang Island's Sipiongot Budikusuma got a free kick in the 75th minute. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Bulek Idris got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 1-6. A collision led to Penang Island getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Bulek Idris hit a great ball. The Penang Island supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Penang Island would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
