Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 2 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Djati Simamora came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 4 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joko Febrian who took care of the corner kick. Joko Febrian made a great header on Penang Island's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 7th minute, Gendo Waluyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jonas Salk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Jonas Salk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Bulek Idris's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Penang Island's goalkeeper Jonas Salk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bulek Idris could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 37 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonas Salk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bulek Idris got free with Julio Vera in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 43rd minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Jonas Salk. Penang Island's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Djati Simamora was the one to do the kick off. Penang Island's Bulek Idris got a good chance for a goal in the 50th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bulek Idris's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Daniel Zorita in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonas Salk, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 61st minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonas Salk having to make a save. Jonas Salk came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Djati Simamora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Penang Island fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when Penang Island's Bulek Idris looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Felix Montenegro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Jonas Salk skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 78th minute, Gendo Waluyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes into the match, Penang Island's goalkeeper Jonas Salk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Penang Island's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Daniel Zorita 80 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-5. Bulek Idris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
