A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Alex Chicote hit a great ball. Mariusz Cuber charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mariusz Cuber the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Dymarki Wejherowo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. The referee ignored Dymarki Wejherowo's protests and gave Zach Uja a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th match minute, Dymarki Wejherowo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zach Uja to maneuver through the defense. Patricio Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafal Dulka read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Tomas Illescas did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Rafal Dulka 60 minutes into the match. Rafal Dulka made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. The corner led Venezuela's Tomas Illescas to fire away a dangerous shot which Rafal Dulka despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 67th minute. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kajetan Mentis made in the 72nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas. After having played for 77 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafal Dulka having to interfere. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dymarki Wejherowo's goalkeeper Rafal Dulka, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
