Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Penang Island getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Sipiongot Budikusuma hit a great ball. Bulek Idris recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonas Salk made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Haryanto Simamora's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Haryanto Simamora helped the player get up and apologised. Haryanto Simamora hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, Penang Island's goal looked a bit too open when Joshua Secada came free, but Jonas Salk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Banan Banana kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Jonas Salk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 21st minute of play. Patricio Costa succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 21st playminute. Ade Prima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Ade Prima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bulek Idris in the 40th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bulek Idris in the 43rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bulek Idris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 45 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joko Febrian in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Djati Simamora to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Bulek Idris left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Penang Island fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Jonathan Ferrant successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 61st minute, Bulek Idris ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Penang Island was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ade Prima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bulek Idris showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 75 minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Djati Simamora in the 78th minute of play. Penang Island's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joko Febrian in the 80th minute. After taking down the ball on Penang Island's corner Joko Febrian fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. In the 81st minute, Djati Simamora made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. 85 minutes into the match, Bulek Idris notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute, Bulek Idris reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 1-6. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Penang Island walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
