In the 19th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. Billy Jacquemet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when West Town SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. 姚国益 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera was a little too slow when Angel Mena got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angel Mena in the 46th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. West Town SC's Frutos Rojas got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 54th minute, Angel Mena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angel Mena in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Billy Jacquemet in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frutos Rojas in the 61st minute of the match. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Angel Mena's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. 68 minutes into the match, West Town SC's goalkeeper Billy Jacquemet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Micael Caicedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angel Mena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute Angel Mena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frutos Rojas in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but West Town SC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
