With an all-out effort, Atletico Benevento's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from 蔡西誉, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 27 minutes into the game, 蔡西誉 lined in a short shot 4-0 behind a frustrated Jonathan Ferrant. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 吴卫天 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ermanno Santarelli in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Patricio Costa fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Patricio Costa a yellow card for diving instead. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Atletico Benevento's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but 吴卫天 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 蔡西誉 in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by 蔡西誉 in the 80th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Fulvio Masetti came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Atletico Benevento fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fulvio Masetti couldn't finish the play. After 87 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jack Daniels who took care of the corner kick. Jack Daniels made a great header on Atletico Benevento's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 90th match minute, Atletico Benevento was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermanno Santarelli to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Atletico Benevento fully deserved thier win.
