Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Mexico's Joel Gaona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damaso Eron in the 14th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Mexico booed when FLAMENGO San Sebastian was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stepan Petunin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Angelo Fresnos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd match minute, FLAMENGO San Sebastian was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caitano Galego to maneuver through the defense. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emiliano Pancho made a kick off. Damaso Eron hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Emiliano Pancho struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FLAMENGO San Sebastian. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Emiliano Pancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. After having played for 85 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
