The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dante Lacasa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Leonidas Arias showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. In the 15th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mitnarotov FC's Cemalettin Yatman did a great save. 16 minutes into the game, one of Mitnarotov FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Cemalettin Yatman had in the 17thth minute some difficulties stopping Joel Gaona's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mitnarotov FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hortêncio Rosa in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute Leonidas Arias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mitnarotov FC were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hu Yao Nan took the corner. After taking down the ball on Mitnarotov FC's corner Hu Yao Nan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dante Lacasa quite easily take care of the ball. Cemalettin Yatman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Hortêncio Rosa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hortêncio Rosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Lautaro Mancebo's late challenge caught a Mitnarotov FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percival Koehler in the 79th minute of play. In the 79thth minute of the game Percival Koehler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 81st minute, Mitnarotov FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
