Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Måns Stålman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyryl Kiewra, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. A collision led to Lekparken FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Taha Ali hit a great ball. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sigge Holmberg having to interfere. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Agustín Saelices advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-1 in the 38th minute. After 41 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Daniel Zorita hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cyryl Kiewra made a kick off. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sigge Holmberg having to interfere. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyryl Kiewra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Lekparken FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Robin Albohm hit a great ball. In the 69th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sigge Holmberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyryl Kiewra, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 74th minute, Daniel Zorita fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Sigge Holmberg, passed just outside the right post. Lekparken FC made a substitution. Holger Joensson replaced Mauro Bastos. 78 minutes into the match, Lekparken FC's goalkeeper Sigge Holmberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. In the 78th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sigge Holmberg. Sigge Holmberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Sigge Holmberg made a huge save. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Måns Stålman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lekparken FC made a substitution. Jonas Walroth replaced Måns Stålman. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Lekparken FC's Cyryl Kiewra. But to his dismay, Cyryl Kiewra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The Lekparken FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
