Lunáticos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilian Lopez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC SOLOTHURN's goalkeeper Tuncer Doğu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lunáticos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luiz Gustavo Romero in the 28th minute. Panait Stolniciu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Rechnitzer having to interfere. Jacob Madruga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Tuncer Doğu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Dennis Rechnitzer made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Anfilogino Sasso sent off a good shot on target. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Lunáticos were victorious despite being under pressure from FC SOLOTHURN for much of the match.
