Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0)
Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Anfilogino Sasso started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafal Jazowski in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tuncer Doğu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rafal Jazowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Tuncer Doğu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gheorghe Hagi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmund Makomaski having to interfere. Edmund Makomaski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gheorghe Hagi in the 11th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Edmund Makomaski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 18th minute of the match, Gheorghe Hagi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edmund Makomaski saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a little luck, Barça's Edmund Makomaski got control of the ball when Jacob Madruga tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 26th minute, Aldo Paoletti made a precise shot to the right of Tuncer Doğu. FC SOLOTHURN's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A collision led to Barça getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Arkadiusz Kajdasz hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the match, FC SOLOTHURN's Panait Stolniciu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Edmund Dykes fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barça's protests and gave Edmund Dykes a yellow card for diving instead. Tuncer Doğu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafal Jazowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute Barça were awarded a corner. Burak Krawczyk went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Barça's Burak Krawczyk to fire away a dangerous shot which Tuncer Doğu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aldo Paoletti to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match Barça got a corner. FC SOLOTHURN's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Burak Krawczyk ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of FC SOLOTHURN's goalie and right to Arne Rott. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FC SOLOTHURN's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Edmund Makomaski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panait Stolniciu in the 55th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Barça's Aldo Paoletti slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tuncer Doğu. That made the score 0-2 after 57 minutes of play. If Panait Stolniciu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Krzysztof Gibowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
