Amancio Bilintx dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Cristobal Estavan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamdullah Kaplan in the 7th minute of play. In the 10th minute of the match, Omar Cordara tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sufi Hanönü saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Cristobal Estavan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hamdullah Kaplan, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. The supporters of ErbaA KartaLı booed when Newell´s was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tayyar Canbolat didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amancio Bilintx to strike the kick off in the second half.
