Sebastião Xoxe made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Murillo Paranaense sent off a good shot on target. Dennis Rechnitzer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Norbert Major went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Norbert Major's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dennis Rechnitzer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, Norbert Major cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Dennis Rechnitzer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dennis Rechnitzer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norbert Major, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Pogoń Szczecin eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
