Janne Oblak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, LeicestersKickers's goal looked a bit too open when Mugurel Balaeț came free, but Janne Oblak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute Mugurel Balaeț shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Janne Oblak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Kiki Monginsidi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Zamalek FC's Mugurel Balaeț in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Mugurel Balaeț sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reese Otto in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Janne Oblak, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. LeicestersKickers's Janne Oblak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mugurel Balaeț in the 59th minute of play. Reese Ottos short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Janne Oblak to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 62ndth minute of the game Mugurel Balaeț who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LeicestersKickers's Janne Oblak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rhys Dimmock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivar Forsberg in the 65th minute of play. Davis Duff hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tytus Banaszak in the 74th minute of play forced LeicestersKickers's goalkeeper Janne Oblak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Janne Oblak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mugurel Balaeț, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, Zamalek FC's goal looked a bit too open when John Kellbom came free, but Rhys Dimmock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
