In the 5th minute, Mugurel Balaeț left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Sergey Krasinskiy made a great header on Zamalek FC's corner, it was just that Pogoń Szczecin's Sebastião Xoxe managed to reach the ball for a save. Norbert Major took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rhys Dimmock. Rhys Dimmock dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 25 minutes into the game, Norbert Major cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Rhys Dimmock was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 30th minute Norbert Major shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rhys Dimmock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastião Xoxe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mugurel Balaeț in the 34th minute of the match. Rhys Dimmock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norbert Major, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mugurel Balaeț to make the kick off. Norbert Major might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rhys Dimmock. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Norbert Major ran back to his position shaking his head. Rhys Dimmock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norbert Major, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Rhys Dimmock, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 53 minutes into the game, Pogoń Szczecin's Norbert Major nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After 68 played minutes Pogoń Szczecin got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Donzel. Norbert Major scored 1-4 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rhys Dimmock, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pogoń Szczecin's Sebastião Xoxe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Kirkpatrick in the 78th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Norbert Major got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 83 played minutes Pogoń Szczecin got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Doris. After recieving a nice pass, Zamalek FC's Mugurel Balaeț tried to score from far away in the 84th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 85 played minutes Pogoń Szczecin got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Donzel. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zula Mentis during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Zula Mentis kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Pogoń Szczecin walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
