The shot was a little too simple and Nestor Cortez could save by the left post. Dawid Rojek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Nestor Cortez made a huge save. Miguel Ángel Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saul Montrel in the 27th minute of play. With a little luck, Lobos de Carelia's Nestor Cortez got control of the ball when Dawid Rojek tried to sneak it across the goal line. LA LUZ F.C.'s Miguel Ángel Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prospero Perico in the 30th minute of play. Nestor Cortez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dieguito Maradona in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Saul Montrel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lobos de Carelia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Dieguito Maradona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Cortez having to interfere. Teo Venceslas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dieguito Maradona did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Nestor Cortez 42 minutes into the match. In the 45th match minute, Lobos de Carelia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafino Venerando to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

LA LUZ F.C.'s Atilla Açıkalın was substituted for Dieguito Maradona. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pavao Zadro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dawid Rojek in the 54th minute of play forced Lobos de Carelia's goalkeeper Nestor Cortez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. LA LUZ F.C.'s Loukas Botinos was substituted for Felipe Haitz. The supporters of LA LUZ F.C. booed when Lobos de Carelia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pavao Zadro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jailson Britto might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nestor Cortez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jailson Britto ran back to his position shaking his head. Nestor Cortez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atilla Açıkalın in the 83rd minute of the match. LA LUZ F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dawid Rojek in the 84th minute. It was a well-played corner which Danilo Gonza managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 97th match minute, LA LUZ F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atilla Açıkalın to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lobos de Carelia had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
