Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Elias Quadros got the match started through his kick off. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Honduras reached it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armindo Bettencourt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 10 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Armindo Bettencourt, 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armindo Bettencourt saved Rua da Pinga from getting behind. Milagros Cabal took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armindo Bettencourt. Armindo Bettencourt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Joaquim Carvalhais's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joaquim Carvalhais helped the player get up and apologised. Joaquim Carvalhais kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Armindo Bettencourt was a little too slow when Moises Tafalla got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 6-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmundo Espiga was the one to do the kick off. Rua da Pinga's Joaquim Carvalhais managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Emanuel Ocampo in the 69 minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Sebastian Villa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Armindo Bettencourt was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. The Honduras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 12-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Honduras fully deserved thier win.
