Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Özdemir Kutlualps short, quick shot in the 3rdth minute got Benito Sanz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ahmet Hayri Tüzeman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 9th minute of the match. Ahmet Hayri Tüzeman came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa. But to his dismay, Eliseo Noboa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Hızır Türkoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hakan Derim in the 19th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Özdemir Kutlualp in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 23 minutes into the match, ST Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Ahmet Hayri Tüzeman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Alcocer to maneuver through the defense. Hakan Derim struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ST Lions FC. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özdemir Kutlualp in the 27th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 34th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Özdemir Kutlualp. Özdemir Kutlualp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hakan Derim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Özdemir Kutlualp to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Özdemir Kutlualp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When ST Lions FC's Özdemir Kutlualp in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. 54 minutes into the game, Eliseo Noboa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ST Lions FC the free kick. In the 54th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Noboa to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the game, Alan Moruga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ST Lions FC the free kick. Alan Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. When ST Lions FC's Özdemir Kutlualp in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some careless play in the ST Lions FC defense, Lautaro Puig kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ahmet Hayri Tüzeman. The ST Lions FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ahmet Hayri Tüzeman should have stopped the shot. A collision led to ST Lions FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Özdemir Kutlualp hit a great ball. In the 84th minute, Erman Durkaya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ahmet Hayri Tüzeman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 86th match minute, ST Lions FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesur Eskioğlu to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hakan Derim in the 91st minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Carballo to maneuver through the defense. Costa Rica were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over ST Lions FC's much stronger midfield.
