The referee ignored Braga Junior FC's protests and gave Válbson Arce a yellow card for diving instead. Válbson Arce hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Braga Junior FC's goalkeeper Edgar Sabóia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Panama's Tomas Berganza got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After having played for 39 minutes, Isidoro Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Sarmiento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edgar Sabóia came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomas Berganza slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 41st minute. Edgar Sabóia made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Abraham Alguacil sent off a good shot on target. Braga Junior FC's Edgar Sabóia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Braga Junior FC from getting a goal against them. Artur Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kiko Neves made a kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Panama's Tomas Berganza made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgar Sabóia was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 58th minute, Bruninho Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abraham Alguacil couldn't finish the play. The Panama fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Panama's Tomas Berganza looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Kiko Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernandinho Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 80thth minute of the game Kiko Neves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Panama's Marcos Cotilla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edgar Sabóia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Alguacil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgar Sabóia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felipe Ros's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kiko Neves. In the 92nd minute, Tomas Berganza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgar Sabóia was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Panama fully deserved thier win.
