Jonatan Nahia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 17 minutes into the match, Hombres de Negro's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Jonatan Nahia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonatan Nahia having to interfere. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernard Czerny went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Jonatan Nahia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inocencio Montrel in the 38th minute of the match. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Jonatan Nahia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Hombres de Negro booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Inocencio Montrel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 92nd minute Kaido Onnu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonatan Nahia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 94th minute. Hombres de Negro's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
