Axel Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Thomas Örn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Sänningstjärns BK getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Anselmo Gaizko hit a great ball. Mito Troyanov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 27th minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Örn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sänningstjärns BK were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Colombia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Thomas Örn took the corner. The corner led to Sänningstjärns BK's Nils-Åke Kinnman getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Pedro Manzanares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Thomas Örn showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 35 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hans Benedict got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nils-Åke Kinnman struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sänningstjärns BK. Mito Troyanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Sänningstjärns BK's Andrei Shevchenko was substituted for Thomas Örn. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hans Benedict to make the kick off. Mito Troyanov made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Axel Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Mito Troyanov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 56 minutes Sänningstjärns BK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Axel Montenegro who took care of the corner kick. If Abram Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mito Troyanov made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Axel Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sänningstjärns BK's goalkeeper Mito Troyanov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Abram Secada was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After 80 minutes Sänningstjärns BK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kevin Mastache who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of Colombia booed when Sänningstjärns BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Gaizko didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute, Andrei Shevchenko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sänningstjärns BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. After a defensive mix-up in Sänningstjärns BK's zone, Abram Secada stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mito Troyanov came out of the goal and Abram Secada tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th minute, Santino Seco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colombia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3.
