In the 15th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otto Hermansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Max Mohammad in the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th match minute, Newcastle United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marko Gustavsson to maneuver through the defense. Newcastle United FC's Otto Hermansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 22nd minute of play. Claes Ahlroht succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 24th playminute. 27 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Otto Hermansson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Max Mohammad kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 31stth minute. Though ot was a great shot Mexico's keeper Dante Lacasa was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Joel Gaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Otto Hermansson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. When Mexico's Joel Gaona in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 37 played minutes Newcastle United FC got a freekick which was hit by Pan Bin. 38 minutes into the match, Mexico's Luca Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Otto Hermansson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 38 minutes into the match, Luca Zorita notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Newcastle United FC's Otto Hermansson. Otto Hermansson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Mexico were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Max Mohammad to make the kick off. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max Mohammad in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute of the match, Luca Zorita tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Otto Hermansson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 57th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 58th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otto Hermansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 61 played minutes Newcastle United FC got a freekick which was hit by Florian Liermann. Newcastle United FC's Otto Hermansson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Newcastle United FC from getting a goal against them. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Newcastle United FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Luca Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Otto Hermansson quite easily take care of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Luca Rouco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Otto Hermansson. That made the score 1-3 after 69 minutes of play. In the 73rd match minute, Newcastle United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magnus Holmgren to maneuver through the defense. Mexico's Joel Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Otto Hermansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 77th minute of the match. Newcastle United FC's Otto Hermansson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Newcastle United FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tord Åström in the 84th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otto Hermansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute Florian Liermann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Newcastle United FC's Lars Olofsson. But to his dismay, Lars Olofsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tord Åström, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mexico had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
