Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Serafino Geofredo got the match started through his kick off. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Venezuela booed when C. A. Potrero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafino Geofredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by C. A. Potrero's Santo Beat. But to his dismay, Santo Beat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Gaudencio Rico made in the 25th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Niceto Lehior however managed to control. Salvador Gisbert's late challenge caught a C. A. Potrero's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salvador Gisbert helped the player get up and apologised. Tomas Illescas in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pablo Acevedo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pablo Acevedo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomas Illescas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 38 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Serafino Geofredo during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, C. A. Potrero's Serafino Geofredo got a free kick in the 41st minute. A collision led to C. A. Potrero getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Gaudencio Rico hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. Pablo Acevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. The supporters of Venezuela booed when C. A. Potrero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaudencio Rico didn't get a good kick on the ball. C. A. Potrero's Pablo Acevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 73rd minute of play. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pablo Acevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Serafino Geofredo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Joshua Secada struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Pablo Acevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Venezuela were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
