Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Sakis Kastanos sent off a good shot on target. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. George Vasiloiu was slow to take the kick. During this time KYRTAKIA ARE BACK!!!!!!!!'s players had a chance to rest. Loco Higuita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 35th minute of the match. After 40 played minutes KYRTAKIA ARE BACK!!!!!!!! got a freekick which was hit by Akis Papagiannopoulos.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sakis Kastanos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the game, Valeriu Panaitescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valeriu Panaitescu in the 73rd minute of play. The supporters of KYRTAKIA ARE BACK!!!!!!!! booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Loco Higuita was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 87 minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ecuador eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
