Mexico were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after Romos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. The corner led Mexico's Luca Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Ovidiu Cosâmbescu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Xande Gatin took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Dante Lacasa to make any attempt to save it. In the 10th minute Xande Gatin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ovidiu Cosâmbescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Romos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Luca Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ovidiu Cosâmbescu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. Ovidiu Cosâmbescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 21st minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Romos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Ovidiu Cosâmbescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 24th minute of play forced Romos FC's goalkeeper Ovidiu Cosâmbescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, Dinu Andone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ovidiu Cosâmbescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xande Gatin in the 36th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 44th minute of play forced Romos FC's goalkeeper Ovidiu Cosâmbescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee felt a red card was in order, 54 minutes into the game, when Nicu Slavici put in a rough tackle. Nicu Slavici kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Facundo Cadaval sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Romos FC's Ovidiu Cosâmbescu didn't even have to move. In the 57th minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ovidiu Cosâmbescu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 58th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Lautaro Mancebo got away a dangerous shot. In the 61st minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ovidiu Cosâmbescu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 64 minutes in the game Xande Gatin did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Wu Cheng De. Joel Gaona struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Ovidiu Cosâmbescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. After 68 played minutes Romos FC got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel-Alejandro Cristian. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidiu Cosâmbescu having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 71st minute, which Ovidiu Cosâmbescu however easily saved by the left post. In the 72nd minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidiu Cosâmbescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Gaona took the corner. 76 minutes into the match, Romos FC's goalkeeper Ovidiu Cosâmbescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. In the 79th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Alberto Tafalla advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-2 in the 79th minute. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wu Cheng De in the 85th minute of play. Joel Gaona could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Ovidiu Cosâmbescu made a huge save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mexico had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
