Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 2nd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldo Helton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Waldo Helton saved Flame Throwers from getting behind. After having played for 8 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Waldo Helton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Daniel Zorita scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Waldo Helton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Reinaldo McCormick had several of the Ecuador's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 15 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Julio Vera as he didn't even see the shot coming. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Reinaldo McCormick stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Reinaldo McCormick tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Waldo Helton saved Flame Throwers from getting behind. In the 28th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Flame Throwers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well done corner resulted in Felix Montes drilling the ball in to score 1-2 behind Flame Throwers's goalkeeper. After having played for 32 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luis Andino during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luis Andino hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinaldo McCormick, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Waldo Helton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 37th minute of play. In the 42nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldo Helton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Reinaldo McCormick to make the kick off. Waldo Helton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 51st minute of the match. Daniel Zorita kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 54thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Flame Throwers's keeper Waldo Helton was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Waldo Helton firmly grabbed it by the left post. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Waldo Helton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Flame Throwers's goalkeeper Waldo Helton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. 63 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Waldo Helton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristian Sancho scored 1-4 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Waldo Helton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Waldo Helton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 69th minute. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Waldo Helton quite easily take care of the ball. Daniel Zorita's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 70thth minute, Waldo Helton skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Waldo Helton however easily saved by the left post. In the 73rd minute, Reinaldo McCormick left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flame Throwers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Brian Hyatt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Flame Throwers were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mickey Velasco took the corner. In the 93rd minute, Cristian Sancho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Waldo Helton. The goal made the score 2-5. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Flame Throwers.
