Jose Heredia scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Lorien, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 9 minutes into the match, Pitman FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jose Heredia came free, but Marcos Lorien reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrés Figueroa might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Lorien. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andrés Figueroa ran back to his position shaking his head. When Garoa Bencoiechea fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Downchester City's protests and gave Garoa Bencoiechea a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th match minute, Downchester City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrés Figueroa to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute of the match Downchester City got a corner. Pitman FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Andrés Figueroa ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Pitman FC's goalie and right to Mazuste Nobo. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Pitman FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 37 minutes into the match, Godfredo Elazar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fumo Canuto. Downchester City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Godfredo Elazar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Fumo Canuto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iuri Barral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fumo Canuto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godfredo Elazar, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Jose Heredia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcos Lorien having to make a save. Marcos Lorien took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Heredia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jose Heredia to make the kick off. Fumo Canuto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albano Timo, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Downchester City's Etxahun Rienda was substituted for Andrés Figueroa. Downchester City made a substitution. Manolito Cano replaced Fabio Bouzas. 72 minutes into the match, Beila Marcilla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Lorien. The audience thought a goal was coming when Etxahun Rienda got free with Marcos Lorien in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Pitman FC's Marcos Lorien got control of the ball when Etxahun Rienda tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 83rd minute of the match Pitman FC got a corner. Downchester City's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Godfredo Elazar ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Pitman FC's Zarco Lopes getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 85th minute Beila Marcilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Lorien saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the game, Beila Marcilla recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcos Lorien. Beila Marcilla showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. In the 95th minute, Ubaldo Afonso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Liberto Guasch from long distance, 96 minutes into the match, got Marcos Lorien's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.

The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Downchester City walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
