Spectators: 10522 (Terracing: 7892, Seating: 2420, VIP seats: 210) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tiberiu Caramarin started the match with the kick off. Calistrat Madgearu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Roos in the 8th minute of play. Orxata I Fartons's Henry Roos got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Janich Sodborg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiberiu Caramarin in the 22nd minute of play. In the 26th minute, Everardo Eguntsenti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 33rd minute, Henry Roos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Orxata I Fartons fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 40 minutes into the game, Dinu Grigoroiu threw the ball into play from the sideline. Orxata I Fartons's Batista Rosio quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Roos in the 40th minute of play forced MIT's goalkeeper Calistrat Madgearu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivan Vâtcă kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Ivan Vâtcă's late challenge caught a Orxata I Fartons's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivan Vâtcă helped the player get up and apologised. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Henry Roos to strike the kick off in the second half. Mihăiţă Ilarie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Janich Sodborg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Tiberiu Caramarin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Janich Sodborg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Calistrat Madgearu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 李永乐 á Bø, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. MIT's Calistrat Madgearu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Everardo Eguntsenti in the 63rd minute of play. In the 66th minute Henry Roos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calistrat Madgearu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Calistrat Madgearu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Roos in the 72nd minute of play. Janich Sodborg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiberiu Caramarin in the 80th minute of play. Calistrat Madgearu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Pio in the 86th minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Romeo Pio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Calistrat Madgearu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.

MIT's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
