Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Gorri in the 21st minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Arsenio Paez in the 32nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Jose Correa. In the 39th minute of the match, Patricio Costa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Juan Musso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Precioso in the 40th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Juan Musso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 65th minute of the match. After 66 minutes MirkoNicolas FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. MirkoNicolas FC were furious when John Yip was red carded, 95 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of MirkoNicolas FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Venezuela:s goal. The Venezuela fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. MirkoNicolas FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
