The supporters of Mexico booed when The Valar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Mols didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emmanuel Canturri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 5th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Rigg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th minute, The Valar's William Rigg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 12th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. The Valar's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Luca Rouco got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Emmanuel Canturri quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Aulë Vala's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Dante Lacasa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Emmanuel Canturri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Rigg in the 24th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Despite this Dante Lacasa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Luca Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Emmanuel Canturri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to The Valar getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Marian Otopeanu hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emmanuel Canturri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. William Rigg hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 60 minutes into the game, Elias Mambru cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Valar's Jonatan Maidana was substituted for Aulë Vala. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manwë Vala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, William Rigg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Mambru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emmanuel Canturri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute, Martin Mols hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, The Valar's Emmanuel Canturri got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Emmanuel Canturri however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, The Valar's Martin Mols got a free kick in the 96th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The The Valar fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mexico had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
