Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fausto Montel kicked off to start the match. Alf Tempel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fausto Montel struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rapid Wien. Alf Tempel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 7th minute of the match. Alf Tempel came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho scored 0-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alf Tempel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute of play forced Rapid Wien's goalkeeper Alf Tempel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fausto Montel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 26 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fausto Montel. After 27 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Hagedorn who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Rapid Wien's corner Daniel Hagedorn fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Fausto Montel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Mirco Kähler tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera was out of position in the 31 minute of play, and Mirco Kähler capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mirco Kähler really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alf Tempel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 39th minute. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alf Tempel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Hagedorn, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After having played for 44 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Shi Yuan Qi came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Rapid Wien fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shi Yuan Qi couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Rapid Wien's goalkeeper Alf Tempel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Alf Tempel made a huge save. In the 65th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alf Tempel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alf Tempel made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Fausto Montel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Alf Tempel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mirco Kähler, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rapid Wien's Timo-Fabian Wolf was substituted for Mirco Kähler. Alf Tempel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 84th minute of play. In the 84th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alf Tempel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Daniel Zorita got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uwe Kitzbichler in the 88th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alf Tempel. Daniel Zorita showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Rapid Wien's Alf Tempel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Rapid Wien from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Rapid Wien's Fausto Montel got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 95 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alf Tempel. Rapid Wien's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
