Rolando Noboa came out and tried to block the shot, but Levan Dost slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. Levan Dost's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Farid Mondragon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Farid Mondragon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's Farid Mondragon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 27th minute of play. Ahmet Sedat Umut made in the 28th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Jacobo Refugio however managed to control. Levan Dost might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rolando Noboa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Levan Dost ran back to his position shaking his head. 30 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Levan Dost came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute of the game Ahmet Sedat Umut made a throw-in which Paolo Golts played forward. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Farid Mondragon saved 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Peru's Milagros Fraga got a free kick in the 36th minute. Farid Mondragon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Ahmet Sedat Umut threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The supporters of 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonso Berganza didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Levan Dost in the 48th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the match was over Peru could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB throughout the match.
