Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Punta Alvear's Inocencio Frichoso started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Panama booed when Punta Alvear was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Gizon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felipe Ros hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. Inocencio Frichoso scored 1-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gervasio Godoy in the 16th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Inocencio Frichoso could shoot a difficult shot in the 17th minute, which Marcos Cotilla however easily saved by the left post. After 22 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Alex Cambeiro. 42 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacinto Eleazar. Punta Alvear's Venancio Oto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 44th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Berganza to make the kick off. Jacinto Eleazar might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Cotilla. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacinto Eleazar ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inocencio Frichoso in the 53rd minute of the match. Venancio Oto made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Isidoro Sarmiento sent off a good shot on target. In the 57th minute Inocencio Frichoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isidoro Sarmiento kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Dylan Sarmiento's late challenge caught a Punta Alvear's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dylan Sarmiento helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Panama's Dylan Sarmiento got a free kick in the 64th minute. Punta Alvear's Venancio Oto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Punta Alvear from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Ermegildo Heriberto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. After 80 minutes of play, Punta Alvear's Inocencio Frichoso made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Cotilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Punta Alvear's Inocencio Frichoso in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Panama's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Eleazar in the 86th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Punta Alvear's Domingo Cordarrel got a free kick in the 90th minute. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Eleazar, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. In the 95th minute Jacinto Eleazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Punta Alvear were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Panama for a fine match.
