Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas Koch in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th match minute, CA Trapito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinicio Quin to maneuver through the defense. In the 17thth minute of the game Tristan Sama who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 18th minute Douglas Koch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Tristan Sama came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teofilo Faro made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. In the 23rd minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. CA Trapito's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tomas Illescas made a great header on Venezuela's corner, it was just that CA Trapito's Teofilo Faro managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 25thth minute of the game Diogo Pereira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Huib Haar's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tristan Sama in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diogo Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tristan Sama's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. 40 minutes into the match, CA Trapito's Bento Raposo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Tristan Sama had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute, Tristan Sama made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tristan Sama, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The Venezuela players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. CA Trapito were winning 0-1.
