Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Gunnarsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Khodadad Khan having to interfere. Anders Lingren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. After 25 played minutes Terra Scaniae got a freekick which was hit by Einar Felin. Oscar Näfver recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lautaro Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kent Gunnarsson in the 40th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Puig struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Khodadad Khan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Oscar Näfver recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Terra Scaniae's Khodadad Khan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 59th minute of play. In the 63rd minute of the match Terra Scaniae got a corner. Costa Rica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anders Lingren ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Kent Gunnarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Oscar Näfver tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kent Gunnarsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Näfver, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. The corner ended in Anders Lingren almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz did a great save. In the 86th minute Kent Gunnarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Puig in the 96th minute of play forced Terra Scaniae's goalkeeper Khodadad Khan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 99 minutes into the match, Terra Scaniae's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Noboa came free, but Khodadad Khan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Costa Rica fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Terra Scaniae were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
