After a rather tough play, Endorfina Dukla's Eugeniusz Pliszka got a free kick in the 5th minute. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugeniusz Pliszka, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Zdzislaw Kaczeniak made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Jaime Pardo sent off a good shot on target. In the 25th minute, Jaime Pardo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zdzislaw Kaczeniak was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Zdzislaw Kaczeniak acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 34th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Primitivo Escribano. The crowd rose to their feet as Paraguay's Jaime Pardo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zdzislaw Kaczeniak. That made the score 2-0 after 36 minutes of play. In the 40th minute Mikolaj Drab shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaime Pardo to make the kick off. Endorfina Dukla's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paraguay the free kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mikolaj Drab got free with Jacobo Nores in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bartosz Jarosz's late challenge caught a Paraguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
