BATMAN SK's Ali Hamza Duyar got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dida Gentenaar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Facundo Cadaval, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Dominic came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute of the match BATMAN SK got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Christian Dominic ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led BATMAN SK's Cemalettin Cevahir to fire away a dangerous shot which Dante Lacasa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Luca Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dida Gentenaar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of BATMAN SK's Dida Gentenaar. Dida Gentenaar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

But to his dismay, Ali Hamza Duyar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Dominic in the 70th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Mancebo hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 87 minutes into the match, BATMAN SK's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Dida Gentenaar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dida Gentenaar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 89th minute. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but BATMAN SK's Dida Gentenaar did a great save. The supporters of Mexico booed when BATMAN SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Qian Yun Ting didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 97th minute of play forced BATMAN SK's goalkeeper Dida Gentenaar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
