Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dorjan Budal started the match with the kick off. When Dorjan Budal came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Bayer Leverkusen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorjan Budal couldn't finish the play. Primitivo Escribano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dorjan Budal in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Naim Stanišič recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Naim Stanišič in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jacobo Nores, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Naim Stanišič succeeded in the game's 27th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Dorjan Budal took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Jacobo Nores to make any attempt to save it. In the 34th minute Bayer Leverkusen were awarded a corner. Naim Stanišič went to the cornerflag to take it. Sreta Gorše took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Pardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Jacobo Nores successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Bayer Leverkusen's Dorjan Budal in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Paraguay's goalie prevented a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaime Pardo made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Covarrubias in the 54th minute of play forced Bayer Leverkusen's goalkeeper Sreta Gorše to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hector Covarrubias took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sreta Gorše. Sreta Gorše dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Primitivo Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Sreta Gorše tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaime Pardo got free with Sreta Gorše in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 63 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bayer Leverkusen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jaime Pardo was slow to take the kick. During this time Paraguay's players had a chance to rest. At last the ball reached Hector Covarrubias at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Bayer Leverkusen. 2-2. Jaime Pardo took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sreta Gorše. Sreta Gorše dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. The referee showed Lazar Topolovec the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 87 played minutes Bayer Leverkusen got a freekick which was hit by Lazar Topolovec. In the 89th minute, Jaime Pardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paraguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Bayer Leverkusen fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Paraguay were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
