Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dorjan Budal kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Bayer Leverkusen booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesus Carvallo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lazar Topolovec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Ricardo Zorita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 17 minutes, Abram Luque managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Salvador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abram Luque was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sreta Gorše made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Moises Fernandino sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes into the game, Dorjan Budal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ricardo Zorita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moises Fernandino got free with Sreta Gorše in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rašid Uršič in the 27th minute of the match. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Bayer Leverkusen's Dorjan Budal. But to his dismay, Dorjan Budal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Valentino Ferrant hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, Dorjan Budal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bayer Leverkusen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Naim Stanišič might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Zorita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Naim Stanišič ran back to his position shaking his head. Ljudevit Borović charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ljudevit Borović the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Bayer Leverkusen getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Ljudevit Borović hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moises Fernandino was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Moises Fernandino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sreta Gorše was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Moises Fernandino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Sreta Gorše tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Zorita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dorjan Budal's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Sreta Gorše took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Fernandino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes in the game, Dorjan Budal fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Joshua Curbelo got a free kick in the 65th minute. Ricardo Zorita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dorjan Budal went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Naim Stanišič took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save El Salvador from getting a goal against them. Lazar Topolovec might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Zorita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lazar Topolovec ran back to his position shaking his head. Moises Fernandino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Dorjan Budal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dorjan Budal scored 0-7 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ricardo Zorita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Naim Stanišič in the 93rd minute. 97 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Naim Stanišič.
